The Odyssey Playback Theatre (OPT) was founded in February 2005 by graduates of Playback Theatre training workshops lead by Robert Birch. Since then it has become home to individuals wanting to deepen their Playback Theatre performance skills as well as to those who use the playful environment to pursue a path of personal exploration. OPT is currently preparing for its first public performance on November 19, 2006.

The Vancouver Playback Theatre (VPT) was founded in May 1999 and is composed of a number of talented, resourceful professionals with backgrounds in acting, performing, public speaking, organizational development work, group facilitation, therapeutic counselling, and teaching. The troupe has numerous public and private performances to its credit including two successful years at the Vancouver Fringe Festivals in 1999 and 2000. In addition, VPT has performed for and conducted workshops with workplace teams in social service agencies, specialized groups such as mentally-challenged adults, and “problem” students in high schools.
